Innovation Strength "Goes Viral": Southeast Space Frame Selected into the List of "2022 Zhejiang Provincial Intellectual Property Model Enterprises"
"High-end, advanced and cutting-edge" intellectual property (IP) constitutes the core competitiveness of an enterprise. Recently, the Hangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation announced the proposed recommendation list of "2022 Zhejiang Provincial Intellectual Property Model Enterprises", and Zhejiang Southeast Space Frame Co., Ltd. was successfully included.
The selection of Zhejiang Provincial Intellectual Property Model Enterprises is a key initiative to thoroughly implement the decision-making arrangements of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Government on accelerating the construction of a pioneer province for building a powerful IP nation, and to comprehensively advance the IP-intensive enterprise cultivation program. Enterprises selected are leaders among IP-intensive enterprises in the province, and pace-setters in effectively applying IP management systems, enhancing IP value, and boosting core market competitiveness.
Southeast Space Frame’s successful selection indicates that the enterprise takes the lead in IP foundational work, creation quality, brand benefits, protection effects, and standardized management. It serves as a model and benchmark with guiding significance for the industry.
Meanwhile, to vigorously implement the IP-driven enterprise strategy, the Office of the Xiaoshan District Intellectual Property Work Leading Group scored enterprises based on indicators such as the number of valid invention patents held by enterprises at the end of 2021, the number of authorized invention patents in the past three years, and the number of high-value invention patents. This led to the identification of "2021 Xiaoshan District Enterprises with Advantages in IP Innovation and Development". Relying on its outstanding technological innovation strength to "stand out", Southeast Space Frame also won this honor.

Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Main Stadium
Located on the south bank of the confluence of the Qiantang River and Qijia River, the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Main Stadium has a total construction area of 210,110 square meters and can accommodate 80,000 spectators. Upon completion, it became a new landmark of Hangzhou.
The stadium’s canopy adopts an elegant and dynamic lotus flower shape as its design concept, with a symmetric layout and an annular projected plane. The canopy structure adopts a spatial pipe truss and cable-supported single-layer latticed shell steel structure system, with a total steel consumption of approximately 18,000 tons. The trusses cantilever 52.5 meters beyond the supports, with the largest truss dimension reaching 7.8m × 7.8m. Cast steel components account for 20% of the total steel consumption, with the maximum plate thickness of 60mm.

Each "petal" of the canopy has a large volume, and most of its members are spatially curved. The longest spatially curved member in a single petal is 120 meters, with a maximum diameter of 800mm—posing higher requirements for the project’s construction. To address this, Southeast Space Frame carried out special technological innovations for the project. From detailed design and manufacturing to on-site installation, a single petal alone incorporates 6 patented technologies, such as the "unfolding technology for spatial bidirectionally curved steel pipes" and the "spatial bending manufacturing method for large-diameter thick-walled circular pipes". A total of 15 patents have been authorized for the entire Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Main Stadium project.
In addition, the 500-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) project—a major national scientific facility constructed with the participation of Southeast Space Frame—also applied 6 of the company’s independent patents. This project won the Luban Award for Chinese Construction Projects; the "Technological Innovation and Practice in the Construction of Structural Units for the FAST Reflecting Surface" won the Second Prize of the 2019 Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.
